The designers in the phone/electronics industry already got a look at the future Samsung touch screen phone with icons rounded edges through Samsung’s concept presentation made 1 year before the first iphone was introduced. So when the iphone came out many industry designers wondered if Apple copied Samsung. Of course the ignorant average consumers who never saw Samsung’s industry presentation and never knew that pretty much all competing companies at that time were already developing their own versions of a similar looking touch screen phone with grid icons & rounded edges believed in Apples dirty lies and joined in on the shameless witch hunt. The industry designers are still laughing to this day… how ignorant, stupid, and without conscience people can be. The premise of senior editor Bridget Carey in this Youtube video here is that Samsung “copied” Apple. Amusing. She should go learn why the British High Court long time ago already ordered Apple as punishment to state on the splash page of their Apple UK website that Samsung did not copy Apple. Shame on you CNET. Truth and quality reporting is obviously not your priority. CNET should learn to open their eyes and step out into the bigger world to face the truth and reality. Your small country is not the whole world.

While allied companies are punching each other over a few patents. China on the otherhand is free to copy almost anything they want, and the west couldnt do shit about it. So dont be surprised that the US economy is going into the dumps

This is so stupid as Samsungs don't look near as close as the chinese phones like Xiaomi but they attack there main competitor. This alone should make the courts drop there case.

This is something that's long over due
Apple just love to milk money from anything they can
They're just sore over what happened last year
And the galaxy s is innovative
It had some pretty cool features
And rounded corners is a pretty stupid argument against Samsung

Because of them still fighting over phones they don't even sell or support anymore from over 7 years ago, we now have to pay $1,000 for phones that shouldn't be any more than $600 at best. I still don't see how Apple owns a shape or rounded corners. Get over yourselves, Samsung borrowed from Apple just like how Apple borrowed several things FROM Samsung like having the power button on the right side Vs the top of the phone.
