I’m an Apple fanboy but Face ID is without a doubt the most trash feature Apple has ever implemented into a phone. I loathe it.

Face ID is a joke. I've been frustrated by it for 4 months now…I've re-mapped…had the firmware reinstalled by the Apple Store…and it went from 30% success rate, all the way up to 60%…still sucks! It's so frustrating…I fear my only choice is to switch to Android. I'm shocked that Apple made such a ridiculous decision to switch to such an unreliable technology…and as this video summarizes at the end, as far as Apple is concerned…it's all our fault.

Face ID works perfectly for me. It’s never let me down once, yes, it’s awkward when it’s sitting on a table and you have to move your head a bit to unlock it. But I’m happy to trade that for more screen in the same body!

I love my XS Max but Face ID makes it harder to send messages in seminars without the lecturer noticing you pull your phone up to your face to unlock it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Apple Pay isn’t that complicated. You can scan it with the phone held lower where you’d normally be using it. You don’t have to hold it up at the same level as your face.

I wonder if they ever considered you don't want your phone to know what you look like?

Great video. Would you consider doing a video for the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite? I think your viewers would be interested. Thanks😊

    “You’re holding it wrong.”*

-Apple in response poor reception on iPhone 4.

    *Not actual quote.

CNET would lose a significant amount of their viewers if Bridget would to leave.

So swelling, exaggerated facial expression, yawning and wrap around mirror sunglasses can mess with it, that's good to know for unwanted third party use of this technology on you.

So, I am an Optician. I run a lab and make lenses. I own an iphone X. I'm not really sure what you're talking about here. I own several pair of prescription sunglasses, all of them have polarized and mirror coated lenses. None of them give me any trouble at all. I have seen many reviews like this one and out of at least 6 or 7 of my coworkers and friends literally no one has had any of these issues.
