The Note 9 is a beast of a phone. But it's not worth the upgrade from a Note 8. There really isn't much "innovative" improvements. But it really seems to be an amazing phone.

Fact: most people who think iPhones are the best phones period are not tech heads. They don't really know anything about tech. Try asking a sheep.

What's the point of a powerful processor in the iPhone x if I can't do half as many things as the note 9?

It makes sense for samsung to charge $999 for the Note 9 onsidering that it has pretty much everything that the iPhone X doesnt have. I mean it's got a headphone jack, different types security protections like Face ID, finger print sensor, pin and I believe eye scanner. Hell its even got like all galaxy and other android phones customizable features. Only thing I dont like is the size and honestly iOS is better, but hardware wise the iPhone X is a disappointment.

    My opinion though.

Shouldn't you compare the iPhone with a 3 year old Samsung Note. This is like comparing a grown man to a child for functionality and production and speed which isreally not fair to Apple because they don't make superior products. Apple relies on gullible individuals who are stuck in a system because they are afraid to come out into the real and better world

you have definitly the better tech package with the Galaxy Note 9, more storage, more ram, the best screen on the marked and this with the same price…don´t buy the IPX if you shot a lot of pics and videos, because the storage is very short !!

The iPhone X is grossly overpriced and seems like a handicapped phoned. Long live the last great iPhone the 6 plus!!!.

Oh yes and regardless of price, this makes a lot of sense comparing a brand new phone to one that`s almost a year old. Way to go CNET.

Is it just me that the camera on the note 9 being slightly off center irks me

You should compare iPhone X Plus with this note 9
And i prefer dealing with some iOS bugs and having every month updates rather than having Serious problems with android…

I say that we should wait for Apple's next flagship, which comes in a month or so from when I'm writing this comment.

I'd still take the iPhone X, Samsung just isn't quite there. Maybe if it wasn't running Android; Samsung would be better off developing their own OS, they certainly have enough phones to support it. It could have Samsung Message like iMessage, Samsung Video Calls, better app optimization and performance maximization, less gimicky features, etc.

iPhone X is almost a year older. Wait until the next iPhone comes out soon to compare them. You guys always do this. Even so, the X is still killing it, and you haven’t even given the Note a few weeks to start exploding in people’s hands yet or the slowly updated software to start lagging terribly.

No thanks. I have the iPhone X & just one thing does me, the size. I tried the Note 8 & it was ridiculous, this is even bigger. Think Apple will also release a massive phone in September,, but I don't want it that's for sure.

When they’ve given all the detailed comparisons , how come they didn’t mentioned the geekbench scores?
