iPhone X is honestly a great phone but it needs a lot of polishing to be what it truly can. Maybe the next iPhone will be a finished product. I feel that the iPhone 7 Plus was the finished product of the iPhone 6 designs with 8 plus adding some “meh” functionality. Similarly maybe the iPhones one or two years down the line will be complete and worth a 1000 bucks. Till then I won’t be willing to pay that high a price for a test ride.

For the first time ever I’m not bothered about having the latest Apple phone. I just feel, meh.

I have seen many reviews out there for the iPhone X, this is, hands down, the best one. I absolutely agree that force touch should be used to emulate the home button. As for the notch, I’m sure Apple has debated internally long about this and my personal conclusion is that their take out was that making the phone unique was higher on the list than just having a black hardware bar accross the screen. After all, it would not have been that original. Anyways, thank you Brian for the best review out there…

I don’t understand why so many people who are paid to review and critique these devices say things like you have to press the end app in the top left corner when closing apps down yes you can do that but once you have activated the app closer you can still swipe up which is just as quick as before, now I know there’s a process to get to that point but so many vloggers say it’s a pain to close apps because off the having to press the button but you don’t have to, that’s my point sorry for the long post.

It's ruined the whole tenth anniversary model milestone. Steve Jobs would come back to life & strangle Johnny boy before setting the new Apple campus ablaze.

You’re kind of misleading people. The app switcher can be opened quickly by swiping from the bottom of the screen at a narrow curve/angle to either the left or right edge. Then when you press and hold on the apps you want to close, you can just swipe them up like before—you don’t have to hit the minus button at the top. The reachability + control center is very fast too after you get used to doing it for a day.

The 3d home button idea you described is exactly how Samsung implemented it lol. 3d touch home button is actually pretty nice.

    Just don’t enable Face ID..
And there is already a button that can act like a home or control center, it’s called “Assistive Touch”

The phone is really excellent .. that screen is simply amazing .. remember the futuristic Amazon show Extant .. their phones were just slabs of glass with touch screens .. this phone really feels like that!!! Don’t really miss the Touch ID .. Face ID works really well!!

Not a fair review. For example to close apps. When u hold. U can simply slide up to close them no need to touch the red button

I have just returned mine. Having come from a plus size model I don’t like the smaller screen. Yes it is smaller, having the same width as the normal iPhone, just as bit taller, and most of that space is taken up by the notch. The screen did not wow me, which I think is down to how good previous LCD screens are. Lastly FaceID is to slow and feels like the first generation touchID. The iPhone X feels like a first GEN phone and you know next years version will be awesome. Especially when they make the XL version with a truly bigger screen.
