    Relying on a network connection for your car is not the way to go. Fully autonomous (at least at first) is the only way

    It's a game changer in that they are trying to take away everyone's freedom of driving; bringing us one step closer to an NSA controlled society.

    Wait, what? Am I understanding this right? They want to do the real-time safety-critical processing like that in the cloud? That's crazy!

    I think by the time we have wireless connectivity fast and reliable enough for that sort of thing to be viable, self-driving cars that use local processing will have already taken off long ago.

    I'll wait for 6G buy that time skynet will fully take over and make are cars crash into each other to get rid of the humans

    What happens when the cloud is hacked/breaks/can't communicate? I'm assuming spontaneous combustion?
